Yang Kun, a patent attorney specialized in bio/pharmaceutical, graduated from Yonsei University with a bachelor's degree in B.S. in Biotechnology. He discovered and coordinated skills such as patent infringement investigation and licensing strategy for gene editing technology, a number of establishment IP R&D strategies, patent infringement investigation, patent trend investigation, invalidation investigation, establishment and support of university technology start-up strategies, establishment and support of university technology transfer intermediation strategies, other technology valuation, and patent portfolio construction.

Currently, he is an advisor to the Hanam Startup Campus Mentoring Program, a second judge of the Korea Small and Medium Business Promotion Association's Angel Investment Committee, a technology protection expert for the Gyeonggi Techno Park Small and Medium Business Intellectual Property Protection Reinforcement Project, a patent early diagnosis consulting expert at the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency, an external expert in IP-MIX Strategic Basic Consulting, a data voucher project evaluation committee member at the Korea Data Industry Promotion Agency, and a lecturer at the IP Startup Zone of the Seoul Intellectual Property Center.

At THEWAVE, his role will domestic and international patent prosecution, trial, litigation, infringement, licensing in the bio/pharmaceutical field.
