In April 2023, Jo Seul-i, a patent attorney at THEWAVE, was appointed as the director of the "Korea Women's Character Association," a a forum where character writers and character-related businesswomen gather to promote character development. In order to secure their trademark/design rights in consideration of copyrights, Jo Seul-i will advise the association as a content patent attorney and also expressed her ambition to help both character content creators and product producers.
